HUNTER ISLAND Bourbon Cask Matured – 48% 700ml Cabernet Blends 92 points - Nick StockOur first Bourbon aged release has been created from a mixed mash bill of malted barley, unmalted barley and oats. During its maturation period, this liquid spent time in multiple casks, all of them white oak: 30L Makers Mark, 200L Heaven Hill barrel, and 125L Heaven Hill, freshly shaved and charred. Once decanted, the whisky has been cut back to 52% ABV to achieve a delicate balance of each of its unique influences. American Oak ex Bourbon casks work
