Chigh 530 x 170 cms W 0 - 75 fine lustrous wool and aThis 'chigh' or reed screen was found by our agent, Abbas Rahimi (see Nomads News), in Sanjav village in Western Persia. Reed screens rarely last more than a few decades in use but this one is in almost perfect condition, mainly because it was left unused for many years since the family who owned it had settled but kept hold of it.
