While triggering strange permanents is a nice bonusand if you are building around Naban, Dean of Iteration, it's certainly worth considering these cards (and cards like them) for utility slots in your deckif there's one thing we've learned from Panharmonicon, it's that most of the time, the right (and easiest) way to build around a card like Naban, Dean of Iteration is to play a ton of creatures with enters-the-battlefield triggers
Add in the heightened visibility from celebrity influencers showing off collections on YouTube or streaming platforms, and you have the recipe for soaring prices
As for how they play, each Final Fantasy Commander Deck has a unique construction and style that encourages a different style of play
I agree that CCGs have a fundamentally different model, but in the standard CCG model, yes, there are ultra-rare cards, but most anyone who is a serious player will be buying enough copies to end up with one or more of them, and no one card should be significantly better than the others
