off in the distance across Hobson's Bay you can see Point Gellibrand and Williamstown

Flinders Street runs diagonally across the image and separates the city from the open spaces of Jolimont. Flinders Lane is also visible running parallel with Flinders Street. The photograph was taken from the top of Scots' Church on the corner of Russell and Collins Streets. Scots' Church was completed in 1874 and was the highest building in
