Hamburger Heaven Bubblegum They stayed there until 1960In 1965, the four Daoud brothers bought a hamburger restaurant called Hamburger Heaven in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Mt. Washington. With their purchase they also received a Cincinnati style chili recipe. They quickly realized the chili was outselling the burgers, so they focused on the former and changed the name of the restaurant to Gold Star Chili, now simply known as Gold Star.
