Large 19th Century Portrait Of A Lady - Oil On Canvas. Art Nouveau The top back rest is**RESERVED** A 19th portrait of large proportions depicting a seated lady wearing a black gown and fur shawl. Oil on canvas. The work is naively painted but the artist has captured a charming expression in the sitter, almost on the cusp of a smirk. There is light craquelure throughout and apparent overpainting in areas. The work is housed in its original gilt wood frame which remains in a very good condition. A decorative work of good proportions.
