This cup was formed on a potters wheel, and faceted with a wire tool while still wet to created the vertical planes around it. A generous amount of clay was used for this, and it has a pleasant heaviness to it while still being comfortably weighted. It was fired in a soda kiln, with wood added to create the range of dark tones in
