On the nose it is intense with aromatic notes of toffee, clove, violet and dried black cherry, blackberry and plum. It mingles with savoury, smokey notes of cedar, old wood, eucalyptus and fig. On the palate it is medium to full bodied with a bold sweet fruited core supported by ripe tannins and a food friendly acidity that leads to a long finish.
