This map was a huge challenge to make

It makes you wonder at what was lost

Boston MBTA subway map, 2023 Size:18x18 Louis was the sixth-largest cityThis is an homage to the classic Boston MBTA subway maps of the 1960s and early 1970s as clean and modernist as possible, while making sense of Boston's tangled street network. The modern map has gotten away from that simplicity in favor of showing every major bus and train route in Greater Boston, which has its own virtues, but isn't really my style. This also includes the recently expanded, and long overdue, Green Line extension to Somerville.
