柿右衛門手の白磁草虫文蓋茶碗です。

蓮文が彫られています。よく使い込まれていて飴色になっており、竹の角は丸くしてあり、細やかな部分まで丁寧に作られています。

弥生土器は弥生人の稲作文化と共に広まっていったと言われています。それぞれ、形と機能が決まっており、貯蔵用の壺、煮沸用の甕、食べ物を盛るための高坏や鉢など、人々はこれらを組み合わせて使用しました。
