It is shaped to sit comfortably upon the head, and its single layer, medium weight make is fitting for wear from the 17th century through the 18th and into the early 19th. I work these toques from a sound medium weight woolmost often Bartletts 100% wool yarn, though Hand Spun yarn may be had upon special order. All
