The painting charmingly depicts a young country couple by a river. The girl in her laced bodice and skirt, is barefoot and is carrying a filled basket. The young lad in open shirt, vest, breeches and stockings, carrying his hat. The giltwood frame has wonderful patination . Circa: Early 19th Century Origin:
