I have heard these called Leech & Rigdon, serpant pattern & scorpion pattern. I feel they are Confederate & this one is in excellent dug condition but has been over cleaned just a little. Measures just under 3 inches long. Found in a river at Whites Ford outside of Leesburg, Virginia.
