February, North Cornwall Size:60cm A beautiful long wave withWhen there is a glimpse of Spring in the air. Painted en plein air, capturing all the colour and weather of a magical day. 'February' was painted almost entirely 'en plein air' at Crooklets beach. It was a lovely spring bright day and the sea was shimmering greens. The looseness of the brushmarks and scraping with the palette knife in the foreground gives it a energy of immediacy and clean colour. One of my favourites to date, it was exciting to paint
