2017 Intersection “Silica” Merlot Wine and she described it asSilica is one half of Intersections flagship Merlot, along with the Alluvia, both named after the soil types on two sides of the same Estate vineyard. This Merlot is earthy, fleshy, with great tension, delivering a darker side of the Silica Alluvia duo. Nose of graphite, plum, charcoal, cassis, with a slight herbaceousness. Silica explodes with flavours of tobacco, blackberry, espresso coffee, plum, ripe raspberry and a hint of white pepper. This wine
