Isley of Rainforest Flora, a massive Bromeliad nursery i had the pleasure to visit in California. 'Double Ruth' has the shape of magnusiana but with a slightly wider, stiffer leaf, it has a lovely color, silvery grey with purplish shades towards the middle. The flower spike is an improvement on magnusiana and reminiscent of the pollen parent T. compressa,
