Sugar Glider Balsa Ornament balsa-shorebird Handmade with love by womenSugar gliders are marsupials that live in Australia and New Guinea and can glide between trees. Sugar gliders are named for their liking of sweet foods. They eat gum, sap and nectar from trees and plants. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand carved and then painted with non toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
