Obviously going to the late game is a bad bet for these kinds of decks as Miracles is perfectly equipped to operate at this stage of the game
You could effectively play this way indefinitely, earning rewards, expanding your collection and playing standard Magic: The Gathering
In that context, rather than wasting time, spending an extra $15 or so could be worth it
