As such, it makes perfect sense for MTG to have plenty of food-themed cards, to the point that Wizards of the Coast created an entire mechanic based on food called Food Tokens, which are artifacts that can be tapped and sacrificed, alongside a cost of 2 generic mana, to gain 3 life

Even if you only get 1 card out of it, for 1 mana, that is not a bad deal
