This card does it all, an easy early-to-mid game investment, a 3/3 statline for Strength and Willpower for both staying power and fair trades, an inkable nature for constant use, and finally, Petes ability to just deny the opponent from using their Songs for a turn

The bigger this construct is, the less your opponents will want to block it

The emphasis on Equipment doesn't leave much room for creatures, so you'll often have a single creature against the world

You also get a +1/+1 counter on the creature if it's a nonland card, which "makes up" for the card you don't get to draw (not exactly, but you get the idea)
