Thought Scour puts a random card into your hand, Opt lets you choose a known card or the mystery box, Sleight of Hand is the same two-card choice with an open mystery box, and Serum Visions lets you keep both or neither of the two cards you see
There is a very real cost (as there should be with The One Ring), since at a certain point the burden counters will be taking significant chunks of life from you, but the cards youre drawing along the way should more than offset it
There are relatively few actual tribal sets in Pioneer, and you only hit things like Modern Spirits or Humans with the redundancy that comes with multiple sets of payoffs
