The same Charizard that was present in the Base set (which is PTCG's Alpha, to put it in Magic terms) in 1999 is still present in 2025 products

Ive personally found this card to be a real beating, and Im playing it in multiple decks: Isshin, Chainer, Nightmare Adept, and Liesa, Forgotten Archangel, where it regularly helps me close out games

Its still strictly worse than the OG, but some decks can turn that sacrifice cost into a bonus, while other decks are just interested in D-Tutor #2
