All this is a little academic, when you do imprint stuff it gives you a vast tempo boost and when you don't you still have a card which you can put to use

Channeler is pretty much never going to gain Flying and Vigilance in this deck, but it does get to pass on its counters after death, which is huge

I do think a lot of these cards need haste because you only have a single opportunity to swing with them and then they are gone, but maybe that final trigger is more than enough
