I think you can make a case for it over the Sudden Spoiling in some Dimir brews and not in others where this was a blowout as a combat trick or with red mass damage effects like Mizzium Mortars that will shoot them all for 4 damage, you'd prefer the Sudden Spoiling to remove things like indestructible

Scott's call of Twilight Drover serves a similar purpose as Fresh Meat: If Emmara isn't around or tokens otherwise find their way to the graveyard, you have a way of refreshing the battlefield with another wave of creatures

This Artifact enters with instant speed at a low cost and immediately boosts one of your attackers with both double strike and trample

Of the two decks, I do think the Sapphire and Steel deck is more straightforward

As Destined Confrontation resolves, first the player whose turn it is chooses which creatures will be spared, then each other player in turn order does the same knowing the choices made before them
