Its not the greatest tutor per se because it wholly depends on your opponents having more lands than you, but the sheer utility of the card itself still grants it this mid-list position

You can have any number of ink cards, but since you only add one per turn, the games pace ramps up as turns go by (by turn 5 you could have 5 inks to spend, etc.)

This feature can sometimes drive up the value of a box of booster packs if the cards are still in the box

Some decks combine this strategy with cards that punish your opponent each time your creatures die (such as Blood Artist), and this has seen lots of success in winning decks
