That is also assuming I go Evil in Dark Draft which I generally dont like to do, since it relies on acquiring a critical mass of strong Evil cards

This card is a bit limp on the damage output for 4 mana but it is hard to deal with, has good synergy with your many sac outlets and token generators and gives you some reasonable inevitability

Slap two copies of it in your favorite black-splashed midrange blend with a few lifegain upsides, and it keeps its function just as well, with a 6/6 flyin' swingin' beatsick to boot

Though it costs six mana to get out, there are plenty of ways to cheat artifacts into play, so thats not really a problem at all
