You'll use the top card's stats and name going forward, while gaining the text abilities of the creature underneath

Not quite the traditional Fling effect (here your opponent can remove the sacrificed creature in response to casting the spell), but it has upsides in that the creature itself deals damage to the target, so deathtouch or lifelink will work (as will abilities that trigger when the creature deals the damage)

This is another card that works far far worse in cube despite it seeming as if that shouldn't be an issue for it

Blood Baron of Vizkopa $12 Protection from white and black are both pretty good, making this an intriguing sideboard option if nothing else
