The only real merit of this card is the quirky combos you can do with it

Upheaval, Gifts Ungiven, Yawgmoth's Will, Balance (the most ironically named unfair card), Wheel of Fortune, Gaea's Cradle, Tolarian Academy, Survival of the Fittest (a classic combo with Recurring Nightmare), Vedalken Shackles

It has a downside, but its a massive 6/6 for 4 mana and has all the synergies from casting a card from exile which are present in this set
