It gives you great inevitability in many games that dont include infinite combos

Where this card really excels is late in games when you are about to lose, you can then put Shaymin EX in and use Revenge Blast and hopefully knock out one or two Pokemon with Shaymin then retreat it and win the game

However, the old-back Japanese Pokmon cards were almost immediately out-of-date and boring to kids in the 90s and required a change-up (not to mention the whole Pokball thing)
