This creature is actually a bit modest compared to most Dragons and can't protect itself, so it may need effects like Crucible of Fire or Scion of Draco to be impactful

The backup commander in the deck is Azlask, the Swelling Scourge, a slightly more manageable 3-colorless-mana 2/2 that gives you an experience counter whenever it or another colorless creautre you control dies

However I did draw a hard line around cards which primarily serve to mill your entire deck into your graveyard in one go: Hermit Druid, Cephalid Illusionist, Balustrade Spy, and so on

Could it just be the draw of the character

While it doesnt seem to fall into any of the themes in this deck I wanted to try out the powerful God from Hour of Devastation
