While previous showcase cards have been thematically-driven, they haven't been crossover events - until now, when Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths Godzilla Series Monster cards shake up the game
One of the best ways to win in that meta is to simply draw more less-than-powerful cards than your opponents and trust that simply having more stuff (even if it isn't great stuff) will carry your to victory

It's not clear that this would be in any way better than the other ridiculous strategies that dominate the Modern meta, but we do so love these kinds of silly shenanigans
