SpellTable , previously known as VirtualEDH , was quickly developed as a way to keep the Commander game mode alive (since Commander had limited online support at the time)
Since we cant put this djinni back in that bottle though, I hope that Wizards puts on their thinking caps and figures out how to make energy cards in a way that constrains some of those automatic advantages, just as they did with those broken phyrexian mechanics before

A 7/7 Slug Horror, at the beginning of each player's end step, each of its controller's opponents puts a slime counter on each creature they control, with creatures getting -1/-1 for each slime counter on them
From my experience, this slim build makes a noticeable difference during smooth shuffling, especially when shuffling a deck for games
