The art frame of a Pendulum Monster is increased in size, to the same width as the effect boxes, and the effect boxes themselves are partially transparent, allowing the art to be seen beneath them (although since the transparency is applied as a vertical gradient, it is usually noticeable only in the Pendulum Effect box and the very top of the monster one)
The only downside is if you don't have any more creatures to bring back, you need to take a turn off by tapping it to exile 3 more, which does have a chance to miss
This strategy usually has to have three kinds of cards: sacrifice fodder like Doomed Traveler or Reassembling Skeleton are ideal thanks to their abilities
This is just the natural progression of number and land drops, but if you make a 3/3 Shark and they make a 4/4, 5/5, or even 6/6, its relatively easy to still trade Shark-for-Shark if you find a second Typhoon and double block
