Cards like Ohran Frostfang, Saryth, the Viper's Fang and All-Out Assault dont have deathtouch, but they thrive on giving your creatures deathtouch when you attack

You really want to play this when nothing is in their hand, forcing them to discard that threat

Drawing cards is easy in modern Commander, and so drawing that extra land is worth a lot less
