I would argue that this is one of the better decks on this list for new players, as its creature-heavy nature is good for learning about combos, synergies, and how dynamic certain creatures can be, but if you hope to make it truly competitive at your game night, it's going to take quite a few upgrades
As "enter the battlefield triggers" are in fact triggered abilities, Harmonic Prodigy can reliably double the value of many of the most impressive Wizards in a player's deck
It certainly helps that the art here is pretty rad
We would recommend unlocking each deck just to get a feel for them and add them all to your collection, but if you want to jump straight into battles with real opponents, focus on the Black & White: Basic Blue, Red and Green decks as they give you a bunch of handy trainer cards for building your own deck
In the end I ran a deck that revoled around using the Legendary Zapdos cards
