This is a fine card if you have a solid thing you want to return to your hand for some kind of value, which there's plenty of decent 1 and 2 drops that will do something then you pop them back and cast them again

One of the biggest reasons this card ranks highly is that you have a easily triggered card draw that costs you no mana, so a free sacrifice outlet like Phyrexian Altar does incredible work with your creatures: drawing and paying for spells with very little assistance
