In cube you can't really have 10% of your deck as one mana discard cards as their are not enough, the options become too weak too quickly and the good ones get hoovered up very quickly

If you're running Silencer as part of your morph suite, it's because you want to hide some additional countermagic beneath your army of mysterious morph creatures

It's a +1/+1 win con, but it's red which is harder to add in the 99 since most +1/+1 counter caring leaders aren't that color, and then only shoots one dork not all of them, so it's a bit slower

My best advice for players new to Modern would be to identify the kind of decks you like in other formats and see which decks in Modern look like those, and whether they look interesting here
